June is Black Music Month, a time to recognize Black artists and legends who have used music to tell their stories and influenced musical styles around the globe.
Join us on June 18 at 12:30 p.m. for “Black Music Month: Past and Present” as we celebrate Black Philadelphia artists who shaped the world of music and continue to make an impact today. Explore the current Philadelphia music scene through a conversation with NBC10 lifestyle and entertainment reporter Aunyea Lachelle and Philadelphia-based contemporary R&B artist Zeek Burse. Cam Anthony, Philadelphia native and winner of the 20th season of NBC's The Voice, will also join the program.
Continue the celebration by exploring our special Black Music Month collection Amplify the Summer: Collaborations That Elevate the Culture, available on the newly-launched Black Experience on Xfinity. This collection is available all month long and features a variety of music, movies, TV shows, biopics, trivia, and documentaries. Just say “Black Music Month” into your Voice Remote to get started.
